This is the case for me, as well. I'm off work 5-6 hours after the time listed.

Does not work. Will be working until 1 hour after this begins. Good luck, though. :)

It has been too long since the last Tempuran sponsored tournament was held. I, Lylena Landon, on behalf of the Church of Tempus, call on all men and women who'd wish to come and prove their skill-at-arms. The last tournament held by Warpriest Jarris Taril proved successful, and so the rules will be the same as listed prior.

For clarity, I will repeat in writing.

Prior to each engagement, both participants for that particular battle will be dispelled. Potions or items providing enhancing -spells or prayers- will not be acceptable, though items that increase your core are accepted. Using spells or potions prior to engagement to enhance your ability are prohibited.

Warriors and fighters - You will be able to use three skills during the duration of the fight. Disarming, bashing, punching, and kicking are allowed in any particular order, though up to a maximum of three total. For instance, you can kick three times, but beyond that you will not be able to disarm or punch.

Rangers and paladins - You, too, are limited to three, either of skill or prayer. You may use one prayer, and three skills. Or two prayers, and a single skill. Or three prayers, no skills. Three skills, no prayers.

If any who fall under the rules as listed above deviate from the use of three skills and use more, you will be disqualified.

Wizards and priests - There will be no use of area affecting spells. You will have spectators, keep them in mind. While you are not limited to what spells or prayers you may use as far as number, you are limited as to which type are acceptable. Spells or prayers with the intent of destroying your opponent in a single cast are prohibited. Priests - Healing yourselves while in battle is prohibited. For the sake of clarity, healing your opponent during the heat of battle is also prohibited.

All participants will start out with a three round warm up (spar) prior to fully engaging themselves (stun). Each participant will hold the killing blow against their opponents.

There is a five platinum entry fee. Any who wish to participate, do not hesitate to inform me.

(OOC: I was thinkin' aroun' this time?

My day is completely free on this day so I can flex with hours if needed. :)

Just a note: since a failed disarm now provokes a counter, will a counter move count towards your three?

No, it won't. Each player is responsible for their own attacks. If you type disarm and fail, but your opponent successfully counters, it won't count against your opponents 3 skills/spells. Just a choice you have to make in your selection of which skills to choose.

For those who can make it, will two hours later than the posted time be acceptable still or no?

The tournament will be held at Swordpoint Hall in Berdusk, within the Arena at the Training Yard. If you need help finding it, ask ICly and you'll be shown. I'd also like to add that any and all are welcome to join us, whether participant or spectator in this event. Only participants are charged the 5 platinum fee, spectators are free and welcome to come watch.

Would just point out that spectators and participants both should also plan on paying the 10 plat general SPH membership fee, if they haven't already done so, then.

That's been taken into consideration and the guard who typically asks for payment will be given a day off on that day to relax.

This does not, however, mean that the fields are open for any and all to train in. The purpose of him getting a day off is so that the fee is waived for the day/event.

Added to the FK Calendar (link on the top menu of the boards); please confirm I've got it in the right spot. Thanks for hosting an event, doubly so with ample advanced notice! :D

Sooooo....

I'm going to be moving this Sunday/Monday to a new place with new things and new everything and I'm not sure if I'll have Sunday that this'll be held available, what with all the moving thing. So I'd like to postpone this until I'm more settled into the new area.
