An idea of economy: circulation
It takes a lot of time and effort to be good at a trade, but we see these items sometimes finding there way to just sitting on vendors. Also items collected from enemies adventuring in areas. So what, you might ask? Well what if we could tie this all together a bit more. It just seems to me that after repeated attacks upon them, something like a bandit leader realises their crude gear isn't quite cutting it. What if you could sell the items you make or collect to outfit the mobs in certain areas, they get stronger and its harder to defeat them, and it adds more circulation of goods to the system, before finding their way back to the city.
Follow your heart, yes.. but use your head, too. Take to every task with zeal and passion, but try to pair it with sage and discerning execution.
Re: An idea of economy: circulation
I really like this idea, like a halfdrow mage selling weapons and armor to goblins to make them stronger. But once they are killed the armor dies with them. It could make for some interesting wars.
