Going AFK Responsibly

Everyone has a need to leave the computer at one time or another. Sometimes things come up and we have to leave without warning.

However, if you know you need to go AFK for an extended period of time, have the decency to NOT leave your fellow players stuck dragging your playerless body around while you run out to check the mail or go buy a bag of chips down at the corner deli. That is insufferably RUDE behaviour.

Just to add one more thing if you know you are going afk for a while try and go to a spot that is not highly visited so it is kind of out of the way and less likely to run into someone.
