Ladies and gentlemen!
The administrative structure of FK has been a fluid, constantly changing one over FK's ten and a half year history, resulting in a certain amount of confusion over several important matters. Staff have typically been in charge of authorising names and answering player questions, while the immortal staff have been solely responsible for creating roleplays, processing applications and being generally mysterious.
While this may have become the expected norm, we feel that there has become too broad a divide between the two positions, essentially wasting a lot of enthusiasm and talent in unfulfilling and under-demanding positions. Because of this, we'd like to announce that we're officially expanding the role of all staff while we investigate additional duties, tasks and activities for the team!
From this point, all staff posts/comments made in an authoritative capacity, unless stated to be just a personal opinion, are to be viewed with the same weight you would apply to any post made by a member of the immortal team. Beyond that, here are just a few of the things that you will see in days to come (or have already seen in part):
- Staff members responding to applications, or providing status updates
- Staff members posting announcements, updates or game status reports
- Staff members taking a more hands-on approach planning and driving large-scale roleplay
- A more active, staff-driven bug-testing team
- More game improvements and refinements, driven by staff input and discussion
Of course you'll still have access to the ask channel, and service will resume as normal in all aspects of the MUD at present.
