A flame strike produces a vertical column of divine fire roaring downward. The spell deals 1d6 points of damage per caster level (maximum 15d6). Half the damage is fire damage, but the other half results directly from divine power and is therefore not subject to being reduced by resistance to fire-based attacks.
After a quick test, it would seem that FK's Flamestrike only does fire damage, meaning it's possible to be completely immune to it. As a big fan of this spell (who doesn't love calling down the might of their patron to smite a heathen?), I'd like to suggest making it function like the D&D version.

This is a good idea, and easily codable (on a stock ROM or Circle, anyways) with my idea:

While it WOULD make the minimum power of the spell higher, I propose that flamestrike instead of rolling 1d6 fire damage per caster level, rolling 1d3 fire damage and 1d3 holy damage (per caster level). This would make the base damage range 2-6 instead of 1-6, but serve more like the canon.

Just a thought.

Or, if clerics would prefer, a 1d3fire and a 1d2holy for a 2-5, balancing a little better.
