Continual Light - reversed

I was thinking we should add something to counteract continual light. Something that would remove the (glowing) tag from an object and remove the light affect as well.

When cast by a player that spell cast cost 28 platinum to cost. That is expensive to cast and if there were a counter-spell, I would hope that the component cost for continual light would be decreased.

What about a cover command since it really is an expensive spell?

Well to me, Icly, simply "covering" a light / glowing item with no magical mean would be either put it back in your backpack, or wear it with something else "above" it.
I never tested if light is spreading with a glowing piece of armor worn under another piece of armor though.

Would you like to be able to permanently remove the glowing / light effect ?
Or do you want some way to be able to switch on / off your item light nearly at will ?

I'm up for a permanent dispel of the light effect. Icly some characters don't want to be all glowing :)

If people want to switch on / off the light at will, then of course dispelling the light and casting continual light again and again would be far too much expensive.
But then you can cast your continual light on an item you can put back in your bag without too much loss if you want to switch off the light.

*wonders how it works if continual light is on an holy symbol you hide from sight*

I agree that there should be a way to remove the glowing flag, but there are certain items I feel that should be exempt from this. There are items that inherently possess the glowing flag for an IC purpose and shouldn't have it removed in my opinion.

I agree with that.
