I was testing this spell out the other day, and was curious if it worked as the d20 version. As I understand it, the spell is does not have an alignment based damage modifier and therefore should work against any creature (save those celestial in nature) and deal extra damage to undead/fiends.

A pendant shaped like an open-handed gauntlet glows briefly.
A sunstone glows briefly and a whisp of smoke rises from it.
a bandit basks in the warm glow of the light projected from your palm.

That's the echo I got when I used it.

As currently implemented on FK, this spell does no harm to non-outsiders with neutral alignments. (Hence, it does nothing to most animals and simple criminals from Faerun.) That immunity is what the echo you saw is meant to reflect. I've added a note to the helpfile to clarify that.

You are right that the d20 version would harm such creatures, but I'm unsure of how automatically something like this gets "fixed". I'm moving this post to game suggestions, as I think it falls into that category, requiring sufficient free coder time and public support to come to fruition. It wouldn't be overly hard to correct, though, I think.

If you are a (potential) user of this spell and the current immunity of neutral creatures from the prime material plane is something you think unbalancing, say so...and vice-versa, if you feel the spell would be overpowered so modified, this is the place to say so.
