Hear Ye Hear Ye!

Fellows and friends of the sovereign land of Tethyr let it be known to you a individual joust for peace shall take place soon under the patronage of Lady Kyrin Hawkwinter, Countess of Calimmon. Our friend and ally His noble Majesty King Azoun IV of Cormyr has kindly allowed us the use of his lists at the Bridge of Fallen Men. The tourney shall be conducted with lances and blunted weapons, each and every man and woman should outfit as an honourable man-at-arms. All shall swear by honour to uphold all due regulations and rulings of the tourney marshals or lose one's horse, harness, weapons and other relevant accoutrements. The entry fee for all willing will be a total sum of two platinum coins of any mint.
OOC: Okay the purpose of this is some good olde knightly roleplay, much like the jousts that Harroghty has held in the past and as they have proven popular by demand I have decided to organise one myself.

Those eligble to compete are pretty much any humannoid race capable of riding a horse, Tieflings as long as you can disguise yourselves well enough then that is fair game.

Jousts will be fought with mundane weapons, armour may be magical or mundane along with shield all other magical items, trinkets etc must be removed and a Detect Magic spell will be cast (I am requesting the services of a priest for this job, PM me!)

I am looking to fill these positions for the event:

King of Arms
Marshal
Tourney Surgeon

Please PM me if you wish to fill one of these positions, I will update the post as they are filled

Finally I am posting a loose time frame of the weekend of the 14th and 15th of August, this is flexible I await a show of interest as to what time people can make it.

Regards

Chris

I can make weekends before that certainly, but that one is a no-go for me (somebody special's birthday weekend).

Weekends are generally better than weekdays for me, though honestly all of August looks dicey...

Right on top of the Feast of Misfortune, not sure how much of an issue that would be. Everyone's gotten hip to the fact that if you want to have good chance at folks on both sides of the (smaller) pond, that timeslot is the one to shoot for!

(The Aussies and I have our own special time.)

Lords and Ladies, citizens of the Realms the time has come again for the Tourney of the Rhindaun to take place!

Once again as it was last time we have our most noble patron the Countess of Calimmon, Lady Kyrin Hawkwinter whom
sponsors this event from her own personal coffers, and she would like to humbly invite jousters from across the realms
bearing the Crown of Tethyr no ill will to compete, and test of their mettle.

As before the tourney shall take place at the lists on the Bridge of Fallen Men, for which we owe thanks to King Azoun
IV of Cormyr. Each person willing to take part be outfitted as is befitting of a man-at-arms and swear upon their honour
to uphold all rules of the tourney and directions of the marshal

The entry sum shall equate to two platinum coins(or two Daublars)for each combatant to be handed in to the marshal
when called.

The defending champion is Sir Harroghty Rallyhorn
OOC: Okay folks it's been 6 months or so since the last one so I'd like to run this again, using the same rules as before
and...

The event is not alignment based, but classified by race.

Human
Half-elf
elf
Aasimar
Tiefling - Considering how recognisable you may be, you may wish keep your visor down etc
Dwarf
Halfling
Gnome
Genasi
Half-Orcs

Those that will not be allowed to compete are:

Bugbears
Orcs
Goblins
Centaurs
Wemics
Drow/half Drow

It won't be against the rules to enter with an alias or similar.

I will be needing some assistance with this in the form of

A King at Arms(herald)
A Surgeon - Gwain

I will be filling the role of marshal myself however if anyone would like to take up that role I can defer but just to warn you
it's quite a bit of maths along with keeping up with the roleplay, thus to be sure of the position being filled I will take myself
unless someone really wants it.

I'd like to run this sometime on the weekend of the 26th and 27th of february, let me know what day is best for the majority
of those interested and the best time of day and I will set a confirmed time.

just a reminder that this event takes place tomorrow

hope to see you all

PS. Haven't had any word at all on a King of Arms, it isn't essential to the event but it does add colour so if anyone would like
to partake do not hesitate to contact me.
