Random Suggestions

Staring at mv% slowly regenerate is boring, so here is a list of random ideas that popped into my head...
MH vendor: Update one of the MH vendors to sell charcoal. With the introduction of the iron-steel smelting process, charcoal is a high demand item for smelters. Attaining this smelting material in or near the Halls is near impossible. Would be beneficial to add a supply of charcoal to a MH source, possible the NPC that currently stocks signs, chalks, ect.
Metal Grinder: We talk about it now and then, but it needs saying again. Lets make the metal grinders grind metal. At least ingots of iron into 'a pinch of powered iron' and silver into ' a small sprinkle of powdered silver'.
Moulds: We are planning on turning dart moulds into arrowhead moulds soon. A good time to suggest new ones: Sturdy iron nail moulds, we have the iron for it now.
Non-shop components: Still thinking it over, but I am sure there is some method to introduce crystal rods and vials of mercury outside of shops. I won't be happy til every component can be found/crafted outside a city! This goes for pearls as well, dropped by some sea critter maybe... I don't know.
Mining: We tossed around the idea of certain items being generated via mining. As I mentioned in that thread, I would rather see it a random generating code, like ignite generating charcoal, rather than see someone mining an earthstone node. Anyways, here is a short list of components that could be generated through this system: Earthstone, starstone, brightstone, moonstone, sunstone, sulphur, pinch of phosphorus, talc, black onyx gems, and lodestones. May have missed some, just a short list. Hung up on ruby dust... needs to return to the game, but mining would be an imbalanced method.
Vials of blood: Consider increasing the drop rate from the mob type that drops this item. Seems low compared to the demand and shops are often out-of-stock.
Alchemy: I still dream of new transmutation recipes: black onyx gems and lodestones. Interesting RP opportunity, like when Alchemy was first introduced. Also would like to see the shard amount per respawned bumped up. 5 per tick just doesn't cut it these days.
Mining again: Is it just me, or are a few metal types a bit rarer than expected? Lead, tin, copper, silver, iron, and gems are fairly easy to locate. Gold and platinum seem a bit extreme to locate considering their demand in lapidary, Gond forge, ect. Need more experience mining in related areas before I comment on titanium, mithril, and adamantite.
Trade focus: The recent bug report on leatherworking and tanning made me curious. Mining and smelting are planned to get trade focus, please consider LWing and tanning for that list as well. They matter too!
