Guy doesn't teach thrusting weapons. Might be my character class but then again, I should be proficient with those.
I suspect he might be missing a few weapon skills to teach.

Is this a suggestion? It seems like a statement? Too many suggestions like this are coming in these days, guys. Let's remember that the people who handle these are unpaid volunteers doing their best to make the free game you play more enjoyable. If we're not going to use please and thank you, let's at least make full thoughts here? :)
I can't find it for the life of me, but there was a thread talking about the newbie temple weapons trainer which brushed on how he is missing things(staves I believe in the last one) and how he should not have all skills, as it would not promote roleplay and travel.

I apologize, I had typed this in really quickly as I was on my way out. I shouldn't have done that.
What I meant to say was:
I did notice that the newbie weaponsmaster trainer in Westgate doesn't teach a certain few weapon skills, unlike the one in Waterdeep. I think that this would be fine for other non-newbie trainers as it does encourage rp and travel, however for new characters that are essentially trapped in the newb zone and can't quite travel the roads for risk of being devoured by the local banditry, it might be helpful to have at least a few more weapon skills available to them to help ease their journey to levelling up.
Can we please have a few more weapon skills available to our lil new alts?

Waterdeep is fully stocked (or will be when the new area is brought in) because that is where new players go (only players with enough kismet can be evil). We can look into Zhentil Keep by and by, but it is not a priority.

the post was made by me. I was under the impression that the weapons masters trained all weapon types. My mistake at the time. I thought i worded it pleasantly enough but you shot me down too.
Hence why i read the forums but no longer post.

Indeed. I have found the
thread now. In the thread I stated this opinion:
I do not see how this one mob not offering that specific weapon stops any character.
Now I'm not saying I'm against this mob receiving that skill or not, however, I do NOT think he should have every weapon in the game so I am not surprised he is lacking this one, and see no problem with that.
That said, whether the build people decide or not to add this, I'd like the point out that FK is RP-enforced/heavy. Your wizard could easily meet a character willing and able to help them travel to a mob in a nearby city that does offer the skill.
Do not forget that Zhentil Keep does come with a small kismet charge, which does not mean it will be ridiculously harder, but things may not be right at your fingertips.
Which neither 'shoots down' a suggestion, or claims it was worded improperly or impolitely. In fact, I was quite polite and passive about whether it is added or not and mentioned that the builder-folk would be the deciding factor.
