Out of stock components

I've noticed that there are certain components that are perpetually out of stock - black onyx gems come to mind. Even the faith-limited vendor is out of stock. I'd like to suggest that the limit be increased, to factor in a much larger player base. Are there other components anyone can think of, that are perpetually out of stock?

Updated the surface merchant for that component.

Most component sellers in Menzo are permanently out of stock. Put me off playing a drow wizard, in fact. It is something of a problem for my cleric, too.

I'm honestly not sure if I mentioned this one here or not (since previous entries are redacted), but the storekeeper in the Transmuters guild is out of perfectly smooth stones.

Also, since the two mobs in that room have the same name, there's no way to deal with the second one. I'm told "list 2.merchant" used to work, but it doesn't now.

Edit:
Pothel in Golden Oaks is out of most of his components (pieces of bark, pieces of wood, holly, if I remember correctly?)

Edit:
Auntie Glimbell says to you 'That item is out of stock at the moment'
She's actually out of horse manure. Strangely, so am I.

Going to go ahead and bump this thread back up, since I don't think the previous edits were fixed yet.

Jili the halfling merchant in the makeshift hut, in Highmoon's caravan campground is out of arrow heads.

It's nice to notify Harro of these things. He's also very busy with many other projects so we should not put a time frame in these things.

Manure is probably the most easily gained spell component in game, and arrowheads have two means of creation for the time being. Many of the components in game are found via non-shop means. If they were all readily available in shops the world would be a much more boring place.

I agree, though I don't think that the hunting for components is enjoyable. I feel it would be far better for spell pouches to function as they do in D&D: it's assumed they carry the mundane items necessary for basic spells.

My suggestion is to let the hunting of components be for things that should be difficult to cast. Then, the necessity to keep up with so many shopkeepers and so many different components would be a far less cumbersome task for the staff.

Actually, I've personally always found the hunt for components to be very enjoyable work. From common or rarer materials, they've never exactly been out of reach. If a shop doesn't have it, it can be obtained in other ways. I've found that to be very interesting apart from other MUDs where everything you'll ever need is available for purchase. Though still, plenty of things are reasonably available from shops.

And if there -was- something that I couldn't find, it's always been an opportunity for roleplay! Because it's never meant it wasn't around, I just was just overlooking it some place. There's a pretty unique blend of methods to obtain components here and I think that's jolly.
