I feel that otell should work even without an amulet of communication. I recently had a situtation where I was ressurrected without my gear. Then I was supposed to meet some people, but things in real life came up that needed immidiate attentio and I had to leave. I think it was quite unfair to the other party that there is no way I could inform them that I needed to leave.

1up, many times I've needed to get OOC messages to people after dying and losing my amulet. Would make that much easier (read: possible)

I agree, it would be a big help in those situations.
