Returning player, now dead =)

I don't know how many years it has been since I last played, but one night a couple of weeks ago I was thinking back to my days of playing MUDS and wondered if FK was still running. Obviously, I've come to know it still is, and am pleased to return.

It has been so many years, I barely remember how to play and when I was playing, I wasn't as well tied into the community (I doubt anyone even recalls me)

Well after some guessing at passwords, I regained access to my account!

So I found myself in the Vast, and thought it best to head back to Waterdeep, where I remembered being a center of activity. With thought that I could get with some fine folks and relearn the game.

Well in my journey, I put my nose in Batterhill, enjoying the new quest system that is on display there. Well I ran into something that tore me apart.

So death....

I've read through the help files, and put in my prayer, looking to declare a faith once I'm back with the living. I'm trying to recall how the true experience of death worked in the past. While reading the help files is important, it doesn't really render the actual experience of death. Since I'm just getting back, I'm wondering how active the volunteers that play the deities are, and obviously they could be involved in the middle of some RP of their own, so the wait time is expected. =)

I guess I don't have much of a question, as I know it is just a matter of time.... I suppose this post is really about saying "Hi, I'm back, to those that can actually recall me" (talking like 4 years) For those that don't know me, I hope to meet you soon and get into some RP sessions as my love of the Forgotten Realms is as strong as ever =)

Prayer is a last resort to regaining life. The best method is to contact other PCs ingame and see if you can make some deals.

Note that it's considered appropriate to contact white-titled faith managers via TELL even if you don't know them personally - their reputation precedes them.

AH, Thanks Grenwyn! I hadn't realized that's why I was seeing their names in white. I figured I'd already known them from years past!
