Hoods and Masks combo

Seems to me that if one is wearin a mask that yes people would still know who they are, by their hair, voice, armour etc..... bu since we deal with mostly SIGHT in FK... It woul make SENSE that wearing MASK and HOOD would negate the knowing someone or even SEEING what they look like. I'm suggesting a pair of items or just one item that would make your adj turn into the echo SOMEONE. for those people that like a air of mystrey about their character without becoming thief and learning disguise. You could still be LOOKED at but instead of say " A red-haired, Hazel eyed half elf is standing here" It would say something like " Someone is standing here" or maybe "A Hooded figure is standing here" and it would require say... a SPOT check to see through
. Just a thought

I like this idea.
It has been brought up a few times before.

Always a good idea to search for previous posts, so we can carry on discussions in those. It has my vote though.

The only problem with this is. Not all hoods will provide effective shadowing even with a mask. Some peoples adjective have to do with their eyes. A hood will cover your hair and in the right circumstances shadow an upper portion of your face with a mask aiding in such. If you have darker eyes it will help make them look a dark black but if they are light it won't totally negate it. While it won't always less often than you think it would hide your chin and and lips. I think it's far easier if people pay attention to what the other is wearing. Because if it was as simple as hood and mask items. Then what would be the purpose of the disguise skill that bards and thieves get. It would be unfair to them unless said skill was made into another that might enhance those classes?

1. Adjective-modifying hoods/masks would serve exactly that purpose - to draw attention to what a character is wearing. Other players can then decide based on the description, outfit, etc. if they can recognize the character.
2. This doesn't cross with disguise, because disguise is a skill that lets one blend unnoticed and unrecognized. "A masked male halfelf" is not going to blend unnoticed.

That is what I man it doesn't really give any bonuses at all. If anything it'll make people think " Hrm... do I know this person? What is this person up to? The thieves and bards still get a huge bonus with the disguise skill because they can change ANYTHING about them, this just give air of mystery to a person.

Regardless of the other factors here, there is not really a good soft coded solution for this sort of object.
