Checking to see if you've been greeted

Maybe I'm just not sure how to do it, but it would be wonderful to have a way to check to see if someone has greeted you or not. When you have several characters and you haven't played one in a while, sometimes it's hard to remember who you have and have not met on that character.

I was thinking that the 'finger' option would function when someone was offline if they've greeted you. That way you could also remember what someone's adjective is.

Perhaps it could function even if someone has privacy mode enabled, but just say, "Jimbobjones, a grotesque greenskinned gnome".

Or even it could just say, "Jimbobjones (Greeted)"

I like the idea. Using finger in this way sounds like a good idea.

If someone is logged in, WHO will show their race if they have greeted you, but "Unknown" if they have not. Is the suggestion here meant to help you determine if you have greeted another PC, or to let you know if they have greeted you when the other player is not online, or both? (If both, I'm not sure how that would work.)

I believe he's looking for a reliable way to see if his character ICly "knows" someone being discussed (whether they are on or not).

Yeah, I want to know if someone has greeted *me*, specifically when they are offline. Mainly I want it when people say, "Have you seen so-and-so?" and I'm not sure if I even know who they are. The situation it came up in yesterday was when someone gave me descriptions of characters, and I knew a few of them, but wasn't certain if that character did.

That's a great idea!
