Resist Energy

Post by Valyn » Sat Nov 29, 2014 1:12 am

I'd like to suggest that we consolidate the spells resist cold, resist fire, resist acid, etc. into one spell called resist energy, as per 3.5 E rules.

This would function the same as Weapon of Energy where you cast the spell and specify the element after the target.

I think this would be a benefit to spellcasters by giving them less to pay for/skill up/memorize and fits with the current version of the rule.

Thanks!

We have a spell like this called energy immunity. It allows you to pick and choose which energy you wish to be immune to.
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

Spelling is not necessarily correct :)

Yep - I think this is the second tier of what the resist spell is supposed to be per 3.5 and I think the old individual resist <element> spells are remnants of SMAUG.

In 3.5 a weaker version of this is available at a lower level instead of 3 weaker spells
