Safe area warning in ewbie zone

Not being sure because I haven't started in all locations, but I think waterdeep is the only starting area for newbies with an extensive... quest like environment through its sewers.
Upon helping a friend connect and start up, there was some irritation at no warning being given when you enter a safe room...., which Usually wouldn't be a problem, but they were playing a wizard and were quick on the draw. Which means they ended up wasting charges in a safe room, and having played a traditional tabletop wizard build myself I know how painful that can be. For me that starting area the first time was more luck than anything.

My suggestion..., is that since thre are already OOC messages telling giving you information when you enter certain rooms anyway. could there be an extra OOC messaging informing that its a safe room and there is a magical barrier or something?.
I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!

Why not just look before you enter a room? That seems an easier solution than coding a magic free room and a safe-room message.

As far as I've seen there's nothing in the room's desc or directional desc thing that indicates its a safe room
