Change in Alignment... Change in Faith?

Hello... it's me again, sorry to be a bother. I was just going to ask this question: say a Cyricist, as evil as they come, suddenly wants redemption, and a typically good faith, like Lathander helps him realise the errors of his ways.

In that case, can he (after a lot of RP, of course) turn to Lathander to protect him and become a loyal servant. This question stems really from the "Leaving a Faith" thread, where it was said that the god who is "left" would probably kill the one who did the leaving.

In this case, where the faith of a good god has redempted an evil character, could Lathander protect the PC against Cyric, or would the PC have to die?

Just curious.

As far as I know...

An RP like that would have to be approved to begin with. And, if you do have it approved the chances of the _God_ killing you are probably not all that high. Now, that is not to say that the followers of the God whose pride you wounded will not be after you any chance they get. :)

To seek redemption into Tempus' fold is really the only protection. ;)

When leavng a faith the best bet is to expect some or alot of trouble. In essence you turn your back on one deity for another way rubbing his or her in all that has been done for you. I would expect alot of restrictions and loss of elements from a deity which is why to do so, to abandon a faith is something you have to think long and hard about.
