Bless and damn

Just a simple one really. Could we make bless and damn applicable to people not part of the faith?

What would the negatives be if faith managers could bless and damn people not of their faith?

This is already a quality controlled position so I don't forsee mass abuse either way and could be a nice way for faith allies to gain favor when they work together on something important or for a friendly deity to show their appreciation.

The spells of bless and curse already serve the purpose of blessing or damning someone out side of their faith. I'd say though this could and would be abused. Plus it's not someone of another faiths place to police there initiates and acolytes. Plus if blood grew hot in a pk situation some people might shoot off and over do the command ya know? The fm's now are also in a trusted position and the ones who are new to it have been given a shot and watched like hawks because damning and blessing affects the players account. It might just be kismet it lowers or raises, but it still affects them! So all in all it would be best to leave as is.

As a side note, most warriors and rogues do not have access to bless or curse, and wizards can't bless.

But more importantly... Bless and Damn affect kismet??

Kind of off-topic, and I apologize. I think it would be cool if FMs could bless others for doing deeds that their (the FM's) god would much approve of. I'm not so sure about damning, after a little thought.

1. Bless and curse spells do very different things to when a deity confers favor or disfavor.

To elaborate, when a deity directly curses someone in the FR setting and in FK, you usually end up damaged, blinded poisoned as well as spell cursed if not more.

2. Bless and damning has little to do with policing but whether a directly would look favourably upon a mortal for what they did to notice and to offer a word of praise.

3. There are far worse ways to abuse being an FM than this method, but it is a valid point. I believe the position is already policed enough that anyone doing it would get pretty severely punished but that is only my opinion.

4. I have never noticed blessing and damning affect anything other than favor level.

5. if you can't handle yourself in Pk don't engage in it. That subject has already been covered multiple times.

Bless and damn themselves come with clear outlines on how rare they should be used.

This seems like a very unreasonable suggestion.

A fair opinion, though I don't know how rarity affects appropriateness. Unless its too much work for a minor detail which is fair enough.

It affects it in the means that already a faith manager should be extremely rarely using these commands which are literally a god reacting to a pc. It is unreasonable in the means that any faith manager should have the rights to pass the judgment of any god on any pc.

A faith managers job is to escort new members into the faith and to bring life to their own faith. It is surely not to decide what every god in game does in favor of every pc in game.
