A few days ago I came across a site with material about Malatra, a lesser known setting presented originally in the Kara-Tur boxed set with a brief sketch, and later expanded with articles on Polyhedron magazine. Malatra is part of Toril, together with Zakhara, Maztica, Hordelands and Kara-Tur, the latter of which comprises it.

It is a South-East Asian themed setting very suited for characters inspired from that real-world region.
