Imagery, for the blind
At first I was going to ask about the topic below, but then, being the progressive, forward thinking wizard that I am, decided that in the future I will probably ask similar questions about different FR stuffs and might as well put all the blind people questions in one place.
So for this first one, I was wondering about Tyr. When he's represented in the 3e books and online. Does he have any of his norse iconography with him? Since TSR / WoC literally mentioned that they tore him from Earth's norse pantheon and all. For my own Tyrran, I have included slight references to horned helms and such because it amuses me. But I was wondering how legitimate that was for the FR setting.

I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!
Re: Imagery, for the blind
He is depicted in a vaguely Norse appearance in Faiths & Avatars, but not really definitively (he's wearing armor which resembles a Roman lorica segmentata but wearing a sword not unlike a Scandinavian gaddahjalt sword). He is still vaguely Norse in Faiths and Pantheons, wherein he is wearing a kind of leather outfit with a prop looking sword but now has a halo and a vaguely Scandinavian hammer slung at his belt.
His followers are fairly plain in their appearance, robes and plate armor (e.g. pg. 119 Warriors and Priests of the Realms). The clothing suggested is "armor or practical clothing" (Faiths & Avatars). The old FCRS has a priest in robes and plate armor, too.

Thanks for the detailed info. There are a few things there i don't recognize but I see wikipedia is already giving me some detailed descriptions of them in reference to armor i'm familiar with.

He's more Romuva in scope to me when I look at his portrait from Faiths and Pantheons 3.5 so I see Perkūnas.
Going by his Description in the Avatar series of books, he seems to resemble Zeus. If I wanted to be silly, I'd draw parallels to Blind Io in the Discworld.

Sadly, I don't have the fortitude to read Disc world, but I am familiar with Zeus as depicted in the god of war console game series since that came out before my sight deteriated.
Out of interest, what is Tyr's description on FK?

Zeus himself as in greek mythology has differing appearances, depending on his function/goal, but usually he is depicted (in statues mostly as well as paintings (on potshards etc.) ) as a regal and strong human male with a more or less long beard and hair, often curly.

ya, I assumed from Harroghty's initial desc, he looks like a norse warrior in the roman lorica that doesn't cover the arms or legs with a sword or hammer at his belt so he can show off some muscle.

Clive Russel with a longer beard and chestnut-grey hair?

In baldur's gate or any other DND console / online game. What color is used for healing effects and what color is used for harming effects?
I'm mostly trying to scratch an itch I've had about positive and negative energy. For a long time due to their descriptions, positive energy being life and growth I've always imagined it as a verdant green. With negative energy being a shade of purplish indicative of the color necrifying flesh goes.

Not 100% sure about Baldur's Gate because cleric pleb-tier and Kensai-Mage Master Race.... But in video games I've seen healing be the following,
Yellow
Orange
White
Blue
Light blue
I don't recall seeing green used for healing, however light blue and blue I've seen in large amounts. More than anything else even. I'll see about convincing myself to make a healer in BG to see what colours are what.
For evil negative energies, definitely purple. Reds and blacks of course too, but purple is a staple of necromantic energyness.

I can see yellow, but orange? REALLY??
Who looks at orange, the color that sublinimally is supposed to make people angry and goes, yup, epic heal color. do it!
That's hilarious.
Thanks for the info, tis much required for RP purposes.

Orange is supposed to make people angry? I always thought that was red! Though if something is supposed to make person angry and heal them, perhaps orange is the inbetween

Orange is less common, to be sure, but I've seen it here and there.
