A piece of parchment lays here, its backside has a compass trailed with stars.

Recruitment note - Starbound Wayfarers.
Calling all Cartographers, Explorers, Adventurers and well-meaning Mercenaries!
Have you ever felt the urge to trace the skies? Have you ever wished for the chance to emblazon your
name on the annals of history? Your desires have been felt, and your dreams brought a bit closer to reality.
The mother of projects presents itself before us. The opportunity to map the realms!

Write to our guild headquarters* to denote your intention to join this massive undertaking! Make your mom proud while you're also making lifelong alliances!

The Starbound Wayfarers, a self-started initiative for a cartographer guild, from the purest to the most
neutral of alignments. Sponsored by the Church of Selune itself.

From the Sword Coast to the far Thay, the Great Rift to Hartsvale, we will tread the land, soar the skies and sail the seas. As the starry night shines a light upon the compasses and sextants, our search of glory, adventure, and of course, cartography, will take each and every one of us into (yet) uncharted territory, lending us the chance to tell tales never told before, and building the founding stone where many more adventures may be born from.

As a aside, the guild members will be encouraged to write tales of the lands they've found, and they will be published on a outlet on the noteboards to in its own turn, encourage more exploration!

This is a pre-emptive outreach! So prepare your minds and souls, start piling the piggy bank, and also, lots, and
lots of parchments.

OOC: This guild will start in roughly a month and a half to two months, this post was made early on to feel the interest of the playerbase, and also, give enough time for people to pile their kismet and flesh their character ideas out, so that at least some of the guild members are at the same level-range, as they create the characters around the same time. The estimated time of start may change, if it does, i'll update the post.

Old characters are also welcome! Everyone that isn't a direct enemy of Selune's faith is welcome.

*Guild headquarters so far refers to this post's reply, reply here with your enthusiasm and if you're that far in the new character's creation/have a character you want to join, add that information here too! Activity on this thread will inherently cause more visiblity, and in turn, more interest!

Little clarification! The estimated time of arrival depends directly with my kismet reserves, as i'm planning to make a new kistmet-costly character for the guild, i am around 139 kismet left to being able to create it. So i'll post more updates when i'm closer to the mark!

P.S: We have a google docs document already, for simultaneous editing, we are going to start off with a really old map, just for bearings, we'll update it all, so there'll be plenty for everyone to do. :D

SO! Through some generous kismet rewards by various players, which were mindful of my kismet need, and also wished to help with what they could, to help and accelerate the arrival of the Starbound Wayfarers, i've reached 10 kismet left and decreasing, soon a character to be revealed will be created and with them, the official open-realms invitation to join the guild! I apologise for mis-calculating the remaining time so badly, but here we are, bring your odd ideas to the table, made viable through a plentiful of other new characters to train, fight, adventure, and chart with, those who are creating new characters for the guild, are more than welcome to post in this thread with the name of said characters, so that we can meet and greet more easily! Until then.

"...And one day, when they align, the moon will stand at the tip of the swordman's constell--", the teacher looked over at his apprentice with a annoyed stare, "Namid yr Oma el An' assar yi Calim, are you listening to me?"

The flinch caused by hearing her complete name snapped her out of the day dreaming, nodding at her teacher and scribbling notes to a parchment. The two of them traversed the sands of calim, following the stars.
"We're almost there, try and learn something."

The flicker of torchlight on the sand denoted the gathering point. North-bound trader caravans always had this musky smell, and their furs always seemed to have a bit more of mud and dirt on its ends. Nevertheless, they brought coin, and her teacher's maps were always well sought, even if she had the impression a river drawn in one map wasn't on the actual place anymore, or the new settlement east of that mountain range was unmarked, forgotten before it could even be remembered...

After what felt like a thousand and one nights, she grew tired of roaming the desert to trade with barbarians, selling outdated maps, and still making a fortune out of it, it felt... Not enough. Seeing the mountain ranges and vast seas on parchment wasn't the same thing, or so she felt.

Under the setting sun, at the boundaries of the Calim desert, she stood hesitant. A tinge of tension on her heart, with the plethora of things that could go wrong. The arid air forcing her to protect her lungs, leaving out only her eyes. The stars rising over the horizon, slowly, but surely, the swordsman was the first to appear, with the tip of its sword shining brighter than the other stars that formed it, as usual. What wasn't usual, was where it was pointing to, if one is to trust in fate, this is how it'd materialize, because the tip of the sword was hovering over where Namid was supposed to go, the city of wonders, Waterdeep.
Character created! Bring your brave and your bold to drink and discuss plans on shadowdale(Due to it being the best city between the available options for Namid's race.) for now, but as soon as i hit travel-able levels, will be promptly relocating to Waterdeep.
