Rangers and Pass Plant

Since the Druidic version of spells are usually stronger, and the closest thing to Pass Plant that Rangers have in DnD is Tree Stride, which only allows them to walk through specific trees up to around 1,000feet extra or so... perhaps the Ranger should get a toned down spell in the likes of "Wilderness Stride" that makes them spend less MV when moving through the world map or other outdoor areas?

I thought there was already a skill like that for rangers and druids? Or am I wrong?

Syntax: This skill is automatic.

Pathfinding is the ability to walk through the wilderness with ease and
with more speed than others without the skill. If you are on your own you
will move faster, than if you lead a group who does not have the skill.
However, they will still move faster than if they did not have you as the
leader of the group.

* This skill is affected by the type of armour you wear. Heavier armour
will increase the chance of failure in this skill.

Pretty much this thread is to question the reasoning behind Rangers having a transportation spell that most spellcasting guilds don't even have. Any input from anyone?

Because that is the way the game owners decided to set up the guild.
