Perhaps switching the quest for admittance to that particular guild would benefit young wizards to switch it from an obvious mid to higher level quest to Rathill either of the beginner ones. (trying to stay as vague as possible.) Because it's just not feasible even if an unguilded wizard got friends of the same level to take care of it. Especially once alot of the animal types had there damage adjusted to what it should be. Claw and bite attacks just rip through even higher level characters.

Far as I knew, the SOW was going to get some form of adjustment / makeover.
But yes, I agree that the current set up is kind of blah.

I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!

It would be nice, too... if each guild (save for Necromancer) advertised about their guild at the school - and where to find them. I was annoyed at the Enchanter's Guild being at the school, but in order to join the guild... you had to go to the guild (without actually telling you WHERE the guild is).
