Room at the Lazy Dragon Inn

To give you the sequence of events...
1) I went up, not paying - and got the standard 'You have to pay first'
2) I typed Rooms? to find out it was 2 silver
3) When I now pay 2 silver, it gives me the 'success' response from the innkeeper; however, the guard still pushes me out and tells me to go pay.
