A Night of Theater

Celric clears his throat lightly as he speaks again generally to the crowd, 'I hope you can forgive our tardiness - We've just received word from one of our actors that they're on their way with all haste. We only assk a little patience.'.
Barrimore waves Mahmood over. 'Aye! Good ta see ye made et.'.
Celric ahems, 'In the meantime, feel free to have your pickings of this incredible bounty arranged here.'.
Mahmood gets a hookah of patterned porcelain from a red suede pack.
Mahmood drops a hookah of patterned porcelain.
an elegant bracelet with a fire ruby heart glows briefly as Garnet activates it.
Lorelie says to Mahmood 'No smoking during the play.'
Larimar, a hopeful of your faith has just logged on.
Mahmood says to Lorelie 'Ahaih. So you say.'
Garnet peers inside the cloth shoulder-bag before she looks at you and asks a hopeful, 'This one?'.
Larimar arrives from a puff of smoke.
Mahmood gets a hookah of patterned porcelain.
Celric nods to Garnet, 'Any of the containers laid out on the ground, save for the cart that isn't really here.'.
Barrimore looks at Larimar.
Cenrega grins at Larimar.
Celric smiles in relief as he spots Larimar, 'There you are!'.
Garnet quickly scoops up her bounty of cheese.
Garnet gets a wheel of nut cheese from a simple cloth shoulder-bag.
Renea nods at Larimar.
Lorelie looks at Larimar.
Cenrega looks at Larimar.
Larimar throws his arms wide, 'I'm sorry I'm late! I got caught up and lost track of time.'.
an elegant bracelet with a fire ruby heart glows briefly as Garnet activates it.
Garnet gets a slice of brie from a simple cloth shoulder-bag.
Celric presses his hands together firmly, addressing the audience again, 'You can tell which of our actors is the prima donna.'.
Cenrega grins at you.
Garnet glances at Renea.
Renea shakes her head in Garnet's direction.
Garnet noms at her cheese and nods slowly at you.
Garnet eats a wheel of nut cheese.
Renea looks at you.
Stigr Hmmmms...
Celric shakes his head slowly, then clears his throat, 'Alright then! We'll officially begin.'.
Garnet exclaims 'I might bring someone in quietly soon!'
Garnet says 'Just as a warning, they haven't said if they'll be joining or not.'
Garnet smiles.
Larimar looks around and hmms.
Larimar looks at Lorelie.
Barrimore gets a mug of Arrowflight Ale from a simple cloth shoulder-bag.
Celric spreads his hands open at his sides as he gazes over the audience, 'I have a few things to open with before the play begins fully, so if you have anything to take care of, now might be the time. Firstly,'.
Renea ducks down and finds an out of the way place to rest for the moment.
Renea sits and relaxes.
Barrimore gets some links of bratwurst from a simple cloth shoulder-bag.
Celric gestures avaguely around, 'I want to thank our patrons for the evening. The Lucky Drunk who graciously agreed to host our performance, and a -big- thanks to the church of Milil for providing funding for the endeavour.'.
Barrimore slyly slides the sausages under the table to Toby, a bloodhound, who lifts her head off her paws for a moment to gulp them down.
Barrimore gives some links of bratwurst to Toby, a bloodhound.
Toby, a bloodhound eats some links of bratwurst.
Garnet rubs lightly at her cheeks with a smile before she says a sudden, quick and quiet, 'I'll be right back.'.
Garnet walks west.
A Grey Void floats over to the stage and hovers there.
Garnet walks in from the west.
Celric holds up a finger as he speaks up again, 'Secondly, I want to take this moment to remind everyone to be kind in the theater. That means no matter who you're sitting beside, please leave it until after the performance is finished. Also-' he taps the stud in his ear, 'We ask that y o u please detune any amulets of communication you may have on your person for the duration of the play. It can be distracting for the audience and actors, and really, nobody likes to be that person.'.
Cenrega smiles at you.
Larimar flashes a handsome smile.
Barrimore reaches up and tinkers with his calla lily for a moment.
Garnet returns and keeps to the back of the room, watching on with a smile.
Aoife looks at A Grey Void.
A Grey Void hangs over the stage looking empty and voidish.
Celric smiles brightly, 'And if you have any complaints about the play, or our portrayal of your favourite god - some might fling words like 'blasphemy' around, we understand - We ask that you please direct these complaints thorugh the magical post to Zethanon, my secretary.'.
Mahmood looks at Aoife.
Celric clears his throat as he takes a step backwards, 'And with that ... Please enjoy your evening.' he makes a few motions to people off the sides of the stage, and walks over to one corner of the stage himself, retrieving a big heavy-looking book from one of the waiting stagehands.
Garnet murmurs, 'Strange name.' under her breath before she takes a tiny sip from her wine glass.
You give a theater mask with Shar's symbol to Larimar.
You give a sheer veil to Larimar.
You give an imperious gown of deep violet lace trimmed with amethysts to Larimar.
You give a long dark concealing cloak to Larimar.
You clear your throat loudly.
Celric waits, as some of the black-clad stagehands bring a large crate out into the center of the stage - the crate has an open top, and inside it seems to be full of glittery silks.
You are momentarily distracted by something.
Larimar walks in from the west.
Renea looks at Larimar.
Barrimore looks at Larimar.
Celric opens to the first page of the big book, and speaks loudly and clearly, although probably not -from- the book seeing as closer inspection reveals that he's holding it upside down, 'Our tale begins, as one might imagine, at the beginning - But the beginning of it -all-.'.
A Grey Void shines a light on the stage over the crate of silks.
Stigr tells you 'Is that my queue?'
Garnet is that rude person who jangles all their things *once* for a moment before silencing entirely, nomming quietly on more cheese.
Garnet puts 6 copper coins in a white silk money pouch with a scale and coin symbol.
Garnet puts 90 silver coins in a white silk money pouch with a scale and coin symbol.
Garnet puts 400 gold coins in a white silk money pouch with a scale and coin symbol.
Celric's gaze shifts over to Stigr with a small nod of his head, as he continues to speak clearly, 'The world was as yet unformed, and lifeless. Light and dark, heat and cold, life and death. These disparities did not yet exist. Until Ao, in his infinite wisdom...'.
Garnet eats a slice of brie.
You tell Stigr 'Das you boo.'
Aoife looks at you.
Stigr steps out onto the stage next to a large crate filled with glittery black and white silks, his expression a measured calm as the narrator speaks.
Aoife looks at Stigr.
Stigr utterly breaks that calm, his countenance a picture of frustration. His tone no different as he speaks, 'To the void with her!' He exclaims, 'We'll see whose crawling back ere long. I can do creation all on my own.' His voice takes on a feminine tone as he bickers to himself, like so many imitating another to themselves, 'You can't even do your own universe, I'm not your mother.' He scoffs.
Garnet covers her mouth with a quiet snort of a laugh at Stigr's last words before she quiets once more, watching with a smile.
Garnet looks at Stigr.
Stigr looks over to the box and upturns the lid, 'Aha, this should be a simple task! What were the directions again?' He leans over and begins to separate white silks from black silks from within the crate, tossing them into their own piles, the task appearing to bring back his irritation from before, 'Separate lights from darks... and then... then... what does that even mean?!' He takes a step back and throws his hands up, 'Argh! Why does this have to be so difficult with her!?' He storms off hurriedly off of the set and barks, 'Fie on this nonsense, COME BACK!'.
Stigr sidles over to the front row and sit down quietly and watch, as Ao does.
Celric is apparently watching a very different scene as he watches Stigr, absently flipping through the pages of the large tome. He speaks clearly over the audience, 'Ao understood the value in allowing his creation to flourish. Having split the light from the dark, he stepped back into the shadows. Watching, observing, and letting his handiwork speak for it self..'.
A Grey Void cuts the light over the crate and the stage goes black.
A Grey Void suddenly morphs into another shape.
Garnet pads out quietly.
Garnet walks west.
Celric continues as the stage cuts to black, speaking in clear tones as surreptitiously two figures dive(?) into the pile of silks, 'And from this disparity arose...'.
Lorelie sits up from the pile of white silks and stretches slowly. 'Oh, that was a refreshing eternity!'.
Aoife looks at Lorelie.
Barrimore looks at Lorelie.
Lorelie looks over at the pile of black silks curiously.
Lorelie smiles brightly and claps her hands together. 'Oh, hello there. My name is Selune, who are you?'.
Larimar emerges from the black silks and looks around, slowly climbing to his (her?) feet. 'I am' he says in a scratchy falsetto, 'Shar!' He gestures with overly exaggerated motions 'Lady of the Night. Mistress of Darkness.' He plants his hands on his hips and announces, 'Incidentally, I'm evil.'.
Barrimore chuckles.
Lorelie stands up quickly and claps her hands together again. She squeals, 'Sister!'.
Aoife looks at Larimar.
Larimar blinks and peers at Lorelie, 'Pardon?'.
Lorelie points at Larimar and laughs, 'You're my sister!'.
You hear the sound of footsteps from the west.
Standing just shy of 5 1/2 feet, this halfelf carries himself with an air of
confidence. He has a lithe body with a careful grace and delicate gestures.
When he speaks, he gesticulates wildly with long and slender fingers. He ears
are equally long and slender, with a gentle point not quite as pronounced as
a full blooded elf.
He has the deep, honey gold skin of a sun elf, though his features are
definitely not entirely elfin. His long, luxurious hair gleams with gold, but
has pale strands of red twining throughout. Each patch of red is finely
braided with aquamarine beads and tipped with owl feathers. His most striking
feature are his eyes. They are a brilliant green near the pupils, but smoothly
transition into a deep violet around the edges of his iris.
A green-violet eyed male halfelf is in perfect health.
His neck is perforated by a series of gills on each side.
His skin has a grey pebbled texture.
A shimmering translucent set of armour seems to enshroud him.
His skin is covered in small, flexible scales.
Larimar is using:
<worn around face> a theater mask with Shar's symbol (perfect)
<worn on body> a long dark concealing cloak (perfect)
<worn on head> a sheer veil (perfect)
You peek at the inventory:
a pocketed long coat stitched with a motif of leafy scrollwork (perfect)
a black silk bag (perfect)
a pretty silver locket set with aquamarines (perfect)
a fine silk pale blue spellpouch (perfect)
Larimar leans over at the waist with a deepening frown, 'Explain yourself.'.
Lorelie shakes her head and explains, 'Well, we were born at the same time, so we must be sisters.'.
Larimar straightens and scoffs, 'That isn't what that means.'.
Lorelie insists with a stomp of one foot, '-Sister-'.
Larimar stares at Lorelie for a long moment then seems to deflate slightly. '... Fine.'.
Lorelie looks around with a faint frown, 'Where are we?'.
Larimar crosses his arms, 'I don't know what 'where' means. I don't think there's anything yet.'.
Lorelie paces around in a small circle, 'Just us..?'.
Garnet walks in from the west.
An unkempt sun-kissed male human walks in from the west.
Larimar nods matter-of-factly, 'Just us.'.
Celric flips to the next page in the tome that he's, again, holding upside down. His finger trails down the page anyway as though reading from it as he speaks up clearly, 'The Twin Goddesses, both born of and manifestation to the everlasting L ight and Dark, were torn separate in the division of that murky ether.' he lifts his chin, glancing between the pair, as they separate to prepare for a new scene, 'For longer than any could know, for the passage of time itself had no means by which to be marked yet, it was so - Alone, in harmony, of one mind...'.
Garnet returns to her previous spot in the back, leading An unkempt sun-kissed male human in and taking a seat, nodding towards the stage as she tries to mentally place where things are, play wise.
Lorelie paces around the stage and whines, 'I'M BORED.'.
Toby, a bloodhound lifts her head under the table and sniffs in An unkempt sun-kissed male human's direction, then returns her gaze to the stage and settles her droopy head between her paws.
A short, scarred male human slides towards a vacant seat and asks in hushed tones to a viewer.
A short, scarred male human stops using an amulet of communication.
A short, scarred male human puts an amulet of communication in a cloth pack.
Garnet looks at Larimar.
Larimar is reclining comfortably and rolls his eyes, 'Then why don't we play a game? By the way,' He hops top his feet and announces, 'I'm evil.'.
Garnet looks at Lorelie.
Lorelie laughs, 'Haha! You're so funny. But really, I'm getting bored of the games, too. Why is it just us two here?'.
Larimar gives an exasperated sigh and asks, 'How.. Should I know? It's never been any other way.' He shrugs, 'Why would you be bothered by the lack of something we've never known?'.
Lorelie tilts her head and says, 'Because... Cuz... I don't know.' She sighs and waves her hands around, 'There's so much room here, and it's only us two.' She wanders over until she is at the front of the stage, 'Oh, if -only- we had someone else to keep us company...'.
A Plain Black Background shines a bright spotlight on Lorelie.
Lorelie clasps her hands together and begins to sing.
Lorelie sings, 'All alone, just me and my sister.'.
Lorelie sings, 'All alone, just the silence of the void.'.
Lorelie spreads her hands out as she sings.
Lorelie sings, 'I never thought that there would be'.
Lorelie sings, 'Anything that I wanted to hear and see'.
Lorelie sings, 'So much as I want to hear another voice'.
Lorelie sings, 'But where is there another choice?'.
Lorelie sturns to face Larimar and holds out her hands.
Lorelie sings, 'We could build almost anything here.'.
Lorelie sings, 'We could do almost anything right now.'.
Toby, a bloodhound looks at you with the saddest expression.
Lorelie clasps her hands together in a pleading motion.
Lorelie sings, 'I want to build us a world to love.'.
Lorelie sings, 'I want to spin out all of this love'.
Lorelie sings, 'I have inside me to create a new'.
Lorelie sings, 'Way of living to make another view.'.
Garnet looks at Toby, a bloodhound.
Barrimore pats Toby, a bloodhound on her back.
Lorelie spreads her hands out.
Lorelie sings, 'We could do almost anything out here.'.
Lorelie sings, 'We could make almost anything work.'.
An unkempt sun-kissed male human grins at pets Toby, a bloodhound.
Lorelie turns off and looks in to the distance.
Lorelie sings, 'I have a dream of a world green and growing'.
Lorelie sings, 'I have a dream of things bright and glowing.'.
Lorelie sings, 'I have a dream of stars in the sky'.
Lorelie sings, 'To light up the night and show the way.'.
Lorelie faces Larimar and continues to sing.
Lorelie sings, 'Let's spin out the power to make this'.
Lorelie sings, 'Let's use what we are to create'.
Lorelie spreads out her hands with a bright smile.
Lorelie sings, 'I have a dream of new friend to be with'.
Lorelie sings, 'I have a dream of new things to do'.
Lorelie sings, 'I have a dream of doing something more'.
Lorelie sings, 'With this power that we have.'.
Garnet catches Toby, a bloodhound's look and blinks, clearly having a struggle of how to react in this situation. She smiles as she watches An unkempt sun-kissed male human with Toby, a bloodhound before she looks back to the stage.
Lorelie turns and faces the audience and sings.
Lorelie sings, 'Let's make this dream a thing of reality'.
Lorelie sings, 'And see what hapens along the way.'.
Lorelie ends the song and turns to face Larimar again looking expectant.
Garnet quietly reaches into her satchel and pulls out a bit of something, tossing it wetly towards Toby, a bloodhound and acting innocent, as if she hadn't moved or her attentions were drawn anywhere but the stage.
Garnet gets a thick juicy beef steak from an oiled leather satchel.
Garnet gives a thick juicy beef steak to Toby, a bloodhound.
Larimar stares at Lorelie with a blank expression. 'What. In. The. World. Was. THAT!?'.
Toby, a bloodhound eats a thick juicy beef steak.
Lorelie waves a hand in dismissal, 'It is called a solo, never mind.' She claps her hands together and says brightly, 'Oh, sister I had the most -wonderful- idea! We'll -make- some new people to keep us company!'.
Larimar struggles to keep a straight face for a moment, then regains his composure and makes a face, '...What? For the record, I'm evil.'.
Lorelie shakes her head, 'Sister, this is no time for jokes!' She braces herself facing Larimar, 'This will be great. Now hold still and blast all your stuff at me!'.
Larimar takes a step back, 'I...' He looks down at himself and smooths the dress, 'What?'.
Lorelie holds up her hands and says, 'I'm sure of it! I'm going to throw my stuff at you at the same time. Okay, ready?'.
Larimar shakes his head, 'No.'.
Lorelie spreads out her hands a little, 'Three...'.
Larimar shakes his head more firmly, 'I said no! I'm not ready!'.
Lorelie holds her hands steady and says, 'Two!'.
Stigr looks from Lorelie to Larimar, his brow lifting.
Larimar stomps his foot and says, 'Oh for the love of...'.
Lorelie throws her hands forward and yells, 'ONE!'.
Garnet winces slightly in anticipation of the countdown through a small smile.
Someone flies in from the west.
A short, scarred male human covers his eyes in expectation.
A Plain Black Background creates a bright flash of light that snaps immediately to darkness.
Zhiynet tells you 'Sorry I'm late!'
Barrimore blinks.
A short, scarred male human winces.
Renea surreptitiously makes her way up on to the stage while the flashing light (hopefully) distracts the audience, and she hides in the wings awaiting her apotheosis.
Celric squints his e yes shut against the light, though it's brief, as the curtains quickly draw shut in its wake, concealing both actresses from the audiences' view. He speaks loud and clearly, 'The Twin Goddesses were in this age, of one mind. They recognized a need for life - a physical world. They coordinated together and combined their powers to create the world that we know today. And from their power sprang a new being, the manifestation of' this new world's life..
A broad overview of a darkened land with valleys and craggy mountains slowly lightens the stage but stays very dim.
Mahmood is no longer AFK.
Lorelie looks around in confusion.
Renea rolls out from the wings into the middle of the stage, then pulls herself up, first to her knees, then to her feet, looking around and stretching her arms widely over her head.
Larimar looks around, baffled.
Celric quiets, as the curtains draw back once again to reveal the actresses!
Lorelie gasps and points at Renea, 'Oh, look at her! She's beautiful.'.
Barrimore looks at Renea.
Zhiynet walks west.
Garnet watches Renea appear and beams a smile, nudging lightly at An unkempt sun-kissed male human and leaning towards him as she whispers an excited, 'It's Renea!' before she promptly covers her mouth, recognizing her oops and falls silent once more.
Garnet looks at Renea.
Stigr looks at Renea.
Zhiynet walks in from the west.
Renea turns towards the two sisters, the Dark and the Light, and expresses her most serene smile, speaking in a not so quiet stage whisper, 'Hello, world. Or.. Me.'.
Larimar looks at Renea.
Larimar frowns.
An unkempt sun-kissed male human chuckles quietly at Garnet.
Lorelie claps her hands together, '-Hello-!'.
An unkempt sun-kissed male human looks at Renea.
Zhiynet looks at Renea.
Larimar crosses his arms and says, 'Yes. Hello, fine.' He stares at Renea and practically shouts, 'WHO ARE =YOU-!?'.
Garnet glances at Larimar.
Renea holds her hands clasped together just under her chin, 'I am Chauntea. I am the Divine Manifestation of this World. I am the Mother of Life, created by your combined powers. Nice to meet you.'.
Celric digs his pinkie into one ear, and grins.
Lorelie nearly dances in place, 'I am so very excited to meet you!'.
Larimar grumbles quietly, 'Yes, I suppose this is fine.' He leans nearer to Renea and asks in an accusatory tone, 'What do you mean by 'life'?'.
Renea looks at Larimar with a confused expression as she tries (and fails) to understand her question, '.. I just said, I'm the Mother of Life.' She glances at Lorelie, 'Is your sister hard of hearing? Maybe it's all the darkness around her...'.
You hear the sound of air from from Barrimore's respirator.
Garnet giggles quietly at the exchange.
Barrimore drinks ale from a mug of Arrowflight Ale.
Larimar sighs in exasperation, 'No, right, I mean what is that?' He furrows his brow, continuing, 'How do you know what that is? -I- don't even know what that is.' After his rising frustration, he snaps his fingers and points out, 'Ah, if you're wondering, I'm evil.'.
Renea rolls her eyes at the ostensible revelation, 'You don't say..'.
Larimar leans in again with an expectant look, '... Well?'.
Renea blinks, 'What?'.
Larimar pokes Renea hard in the shoulder, 'You didn't answer'.
Renea holds her hands up over her mouth and giggles.
Lorelie nods and laughs, 'Yes, she is such a character, isn't she?' She sighs happily, 'Oh, I can see it now. We can live in such beautiful harmony, here!'.
Larimar appears to be trying to work through some emotions and says slowly, 'Sure, I'd just-'.
Renea lifts her hands to trace some invisible lines in the air around herself, touching mountain, valley, and stream in the illusory background, 'I will do as I can to fill this world with the sweetest life, to explore and chart our movements so that we may never be lonely again.' She pauses, then adds, 'Let's start with a platypus. What duck doesn't need poison quills, am I right?'.
Larimar frowns as he is interrupted and says, 'Yes, well, right, poison quills. Uh, that's actually -exactly- what I was curious about-'.
Lorelie spreads out her arms wide and announces, 'With my holy radiance, I shall illuminate you so they may see, and find their ways home, whilst ever having a beauty above they might aspire to.'.
You hear the sound of air from from Barrimore's respirator.
Garnet giggles quietly at Renea's question about platypus and shakes her head.
Larimar stomps his foot and whines, 'Now hold on! How do -you- know what any of this is, sister? We've never had any of it!'.
Renea nudges Larimar with her elbow and passes over a copy of the play's script.
Larimar frowns and lifts the script up to his nose and reads loudly in a halting, deadpan voice, 'And I will embrace you in my darkness, that all may know rest, and my sister may take hers as well.'.
Lorelie laughs brightly, 'Oh, I am so very happy right now!' She drags Renea and Larimar in to a group hug, 'GROUP HUG!'.
Renea beams happily as she embraces the other two, 'Now everything will be great forever, with no sudden betrayals at all, ever.'.
Larimar groans and tosses the script over his shoulder as he's pulled into the hug. 'But I'm evil!'.
An unkempt sun-kissed male human chuckles.
Garnet glances over at An unkempt sun-kissed male human on Renea's words and shakes her head slowly, leaning to tell An unkempt sun-kissed male human a quiet, 'I bet that means something's coming.'.
Garnet just shakes her head as she continues to watch the trio on stage with a smile.
Barrimore chuckles at Garnet.
You hear the sound of air from from Barrimore's respirator.
Lorelie laughs heartily, 'What a laugh!'.
A broad overview of a darkened land with valleys and craggy mountains dims down until the stage is in darkness.
Renea gets a small acorn from a shimmering emerald silk bag.
Celric clears his throat as the illusory light is shone brightly on him next.
Celric flips through the pages of the oversized tome in his hands as he speaks in a clear, measured tone, 'And thus it was. The Twin Goddesses worked with such harmony with Chauntea that later, they became known as the Two-Faced Goddess during this time, for their thoughts and actions could hardly be separated from eachother.' his voice brightens as he smiles, 'It was a time of true peace in the world.' he hesitates for a moment, his countenance darkening a little as he tilts his head aside, '.. Buuuut..'.
A broad overview of a darkened land with valleys and craggy mountains brightens to a soft twilight.
An unkempt sun-kissed male human glances at Garnet.
Garnet leans towards An unkempt sun-kissed male human and murmurs under her breath, 'Called it.' before she takes a quick sip from her wine.
Lorelie enters from the edge of the stage wandering around aimlessly.
Lorelie spots Renea and smiles brightly.
Renea appears to be trying (and failing) to plant anacorn in the stage, 'Oh.. You know.. Actually, not that great.'.
Lorelie tilts her head and asks, 'Why, what's wrong?'.
Renea clears her throat politely, pretending she had been talking to the acorn, and she looks up at Lorelie with a start, 'Oh! I didn't see you there. I was just talking to Accy here. And I was telling him.. Things aren't doing so well here, if I'm honest.'.
Renea drops a small acorn.
Renea frowns, just a touch, 'It's just that, you know.. I didn't want to go to you, because I don't want to sound like I'm complaining. You and your sister have already done so much for me, what with, you know, making me.'.
Lorelie shakes her head, 'Don't even worry about that, just tell me what's wrong?'.
Renea gestures towards the acorn, which sits sadly on the stage, 'Well.. Life has been having a rough go of it. It's not anything we're doing wrong, exactly, it's just.. Too dark, Selune.' She pokes at the acorn with her finger and it rolls a little, 'It's too cold, and I'm having trouble getting anything to exist right now. Well, to exist for more than ten minutes, anyways. And no, ice cream golems don't count. They were all great, I know that, but I want more than that!'.
Lorelie nods sympathetically, 'Except the aboleth.'.
Renea blinks, 'What?'.
Lorelie considers for a moment and nods, 'So, I see your problem.. And I do feel terrible, I mean, it was my dream too to see life thrive. What can we do?'.
Renea lifts her hands to clasp them together as she looks over the audience, gazing contemplatively into the distance, 'Well.. If there was some sort of heat, or light. Maybe something stronger than those fireflies I made for a few seconds that one time..'.
Larimar struts towards the middle of the stage and stops abruptly, peering at the two, 'The two of you aren't conspiring against me, because I'm evil. Are you?'.
Lorelie looks up at Larimar and laughs heartily, 'Oh sister, you always know how to make me laugh!'.
Renea shakes her head, 'No, she's evil. Don't you remember what she did to the frogs? Good Us, it makes me nauseous just thinking about it.'.
Larimar nods proudly, 'Yup. Like, lie about my age to get the student discount evil.'.
Lorelie brushes a finger beneath one eye, 'Hahaha! I'm going to tear up, you two!'.
Larimar leans close to Renea, 'Sooooo...?'.
Renea shakes her head, 'Of course we're not conspiring against you! You said the same thing about the bunnies, and the mice, and they were only around for thirty seconds before they turned into an ice door stop. One door stop. They froze together.'.
Lorelie shakes her head and smiles at Larimar, 'Of course not, dear sister. We were talking about life, and how to better foster it. At the moment, I'm sure you know, there's very little of it and it's very difficult for it to survive.'.
Larimar remarks offhandedly, 'What about the aboleth?'.
Renea squints at Larimar, 'No, seriously, what did you cook up in your basement?'.
Lorelie flaps her hands in dismissal, 'Besides that, I mean, of course they're fine.'.
Renea gasps, 'They?!'.
Lorelie sighs and shakes her head, 'But our sweet Toril is so much more desolate than I ever imagined! Oh, sister, we must do something.'.
Larimar frowns, 'Like what? More poisonous ducks? I think we already have too many...'.
Garnet gets a tin cup of frothy white chocolate from a red traveler's cloak.
Garnet quietly passes the drink to An unkempt sun-kissed male human.
Lorelie claps her hands together and says brightly, 'Oh.. I know! I'll make light! And heat.'.
Garnet gives a tin cup of frothy white chocolate to An unkempt sun-kissed male human.
Renea points her finger at Lorelie, 'Yeah, that! I like that, let's go with that idea! And for your information, Miss Gloomy, I was going to make sharks that shoot beams of fire out of their mouths next.'.
Lorelie hmms thoughtfully, 'I don't quite know how I'll do that yet, but...'.
Stigr can't help but snort quietly at Renea's line.
An unkempt sun-kissed male human grins and accepts the drink and takes a sip.
Larimar waves his hands back and forth, 'While that sounds frickin' awesome, No. Nope. Nuh uh. Absolutely not.'.
Larimar glares at Renea.
Lorelie looks up at Larimar and says, 'Huh?'.
Garnet chuckles quietly and shakes her head.
Larimar sighs and stomps his foot, 'I'm starting to have second thoughts about all of this, actually. I don't want that.'.
Lorelie clasps her hands and pleads with Larimar, 'But.. Sister, we must! We've worked so hard for this...'.
Barrimore is no longer AFK.
Larimar shakes his head fervently, 'I draw the line here. You have worked hard, but no! No more. No more poison ducks, no more bunnies, no more danger noodles.'.
Renea holds her hand up just a tiny bit even as she shrinks back, 'Don't I get a vote?'.
Lorelie nods to Renea and says, 'Of course!'.
Larimar exclaims 'NO!'
Renea slinks back a little as mom and mom fight, 'Alright..'.
Lorelie looks back to Larimar and asks, 'Sister, what's the matter?'.
Larimar clenches his hands in fists and whines, 'I -am- the dark! If you create more light, you make less room for me. Surely they aren't more important?'.
Lorelie shakes her head, 'It's not like that at all..' She clasps her hands together and pleads, 'Don't raise your voice. Let's just talk this through...'.
Larimar turns towards the audience and shouts, 'Let us just keep things as they are, then. You have the stars, Selune! If life cannot manage,' His face grows dark, and he growls dangerously, 'Then maybe it wasn't meant to.' He spins on a heel and stalks off the stage.
Renea lifts the acorn in the palm of her hand and whispers secrets to it while the two sisters fight.
Renea gets a small acorn.
Renea holds a small acorn in her right hand.
Cenrega stands quietly and moves to the back of the room behind the audience.
Cenrega rises from his rest.
Lorelie gazes after the departed Larimar before looking back to Renea and sighing, 'Oh Chauntea, don't cry! It's okay, come here.'.
Renea wipes her eyes as she sets the acorn back down, sniffling, 'Oh, but Selune, what else can I do? Making life is all I want out of .. out of.. life!'.
Lorelie hugs Renea and rocks her gently, 'There, there. How about this?' She pulls back to smile at Renea, 'We'll make a little one.' She waves a hand, 'Don't pay attention to her, she's just in a grumpy mood. She gets like that once a month for some reason...'.
Cenrega very quietly finds a shadowy area and starts doing some pushups.
Renea shakes her head, 'You know she's evil, right? Remember the incident with the snowballs and all those baby bears I made? There was fur everywhere. It took tendays to clean everything up.'.
Lorelie laughs heartily, 'You did inherit her sense of humour. We'll just make a -little- bit more light, and then she'll see how wonderful it is and change her mind.'.
Renea gasps in expectation, 'You.. You really think so?'.
Lorelie nods emphatically, 'Well, sure! Why not?' She looks doubtful for a moment and says, 'Just to be safe, it'll be our little secret.'.
Renea coughs quietly, and stage whispers to her acorn, 'Not for very long, though.'.
Lorelie releases Renea and moves over to center stage. She nods with a sigh and says, 'No, probably not. Now stand back and let me just...' She makes a grabbing motion in front of her and there is a soft glimmer of light.
Renea peeks over at Lorelie, '.. Did it work? Did it happen? I don't see any light yet...'.
Lorelie frowns at her hands, 'No...'.
Renea lifts a shoulder lightly, 'Oh, take your time. I'll just be here chatting with Accy.'.
Lorelie spreads her fingers a bit and insists, 'I got it.'.
Renea shakes her head towards her acorn, 'That's rude, Accy.' She adds, to Lorelie, 'I never said you didn't.'.
Lorelie glances over at Renea and says sharply, 'There was a tone.'.
Renea shakes her head again and mumbles, 'You're imagining things, grandma. I mean..' She adds, a bit more loudly, 'Just try again, I'm sure you'll get it next time. Third time's the charm, right?'.
Lorelie frowns and starts punching at the air, 'I've. Got. It.' Some more sparks shower a bit.
Renea holds her hands put placatingly, 'I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. Accy said it's normal for a goddess your age-'.
Lorelie glances over at Renea and says, 'Stop sassing!'.
Renea nods in understanding, 'You know, one in three-'.
Lorelie makes a wide clawing motion and there is a sudden burst of bright light in front of her hands.
