My best friend turned on me when a bandit came along... Sheesh! Some people are so flip-floppy!
A bandit is here.
Noober flies in from the south.
A bandit approaches you and prepares to engage you in combat!
A bandit weaves out of the way of your punch.
Noober joins the battle!
You evade a bandit's crushing attack.
A bandit weaves out of the way of your punch.
You evade a bandit's crushing attack.
You weave out of the way of Noober's punch.
Your punch viciously hammers a bandit's chest.
a bandit is badly bruised.
You evade a bandit's crushing attack.
Noober's punches you violently in your chest.
Noober punches your chest.
~ You cannot catch a Shadow.

This isn't a bug, if Noober is taken into combat, he will sometimes not side with a PC due to alignment differences.

I figured that was the case code-wise, but it seems counter intuitive to his "Noober and <PC> are best friends!" being shouted to the heavens. Perhaps he should a non-combatant party instead?

We can refer it to the builder for his review, but if Noober is simpleton enough to befriend one on the basis of listening to him for a few minutes then it stands to reason that he might not be the most loyal friend...
