Evils and Slice

A question on slice-

If we have an evil character that can use slice, would it be allowed for humanoids, giants, and other things goodly characters are banned from, to be skinned at that point?

It would depend on the TYPE of evil. Too often (wayyyy too often) players equate evil with barbarism. Just because a PC is evil doesn't mean they are flesh-stripping barbarians.

I agree just because an individual is evil does not mean they cannot be dainty and high class. Skinning and tanning is a messy, and stinky business.

I would say even for evil, that would be IC only for followers of certain deities. Malar, Cyric, Loviatar (skinning alive, of course), and *maybe* Talos.

Can't think of any others off the top of my head.

What about your decantent nobleman who wants to remember a girl for the rest of his life so he has her corpse skinned and makes a fine pair of supple gloves? Just because you are not a raving barbaric malarite does not mean you can't do evil acts.

Remember, Evil comes in many guises.

That's decadent.

You'd think the high bard would know how to spell :P

Eh, not when he hasn't had any sleep lately. You'd think a smart bard wouldn't point out the High Bard's faults.

And I stand by my point, evil is varied and not everyone who skins something is a barbarian. Just like some barbaric people may have their own little taboo things they don't do. An example may be a Malarite who doesn't kill young animals/humanoids because they will provide better sport when older, etc.

Oh, your point is well made. It should be an indivdual thing. I suppose it would be more rampant in the faiths I mentioned, is what I was trying to say.

But every faith could have a Jeffery Dahmer, I guess.

Of course we want to allow for individual variants (er deviants) and the points above are valid. What we want to avoid is every evil out there going on a humanoid skinning spree.

All evils arent barbarians....but considering probably the only possible evil class that can get slice, or used to be able to...Was just wondering on the possibilities and OOC repercussions, if any.

As far as OOC reprocussions, for an evil alt, I doubt there would be any. I mean...as long as it IC for your character to do so.

Correct. If it fits IC without having to stretch the limits of reason, there won't be OOC repercussions.

I am sure it doesn't need to be said but I am good at stating the obvious. If a player has a ranger/druid, it is a violation of multi-play rules (not to mention IC repercussions) for your ranger to slice a corpse and pass the skin over to your evil alt.
