In the underdark books, there are svirfneblin gnomes. Are we allowed to roleplay being these kind of gnomes?

Don't quote me, but I believe I heard that this race is being considered as a new race option. Again, I don't know for certain, but I feel sure they will be considered.

I think that there is a helpfile being developed for this race. These particular gnomes are very rare on the surface and would probably require a special application. Far as I know these applications will not be accepted until the new race system is out.
