I am curious as to what the responsibilities of PC high priests are to hopefuls and members of the faith they head.

That really depends on the faith. Obviously they hold a responsibility to quest hopefuls. As for with members it is depending per faith. Good faiths would obviously be a bit more nice then evils. I kind of see good hp's as responsible to care for the faith, while I see evil hps as responsible to make sure the faith serves properly, and reprimand greatly when they do not. How each individual HP handles their responsibility is by the guidlines of their own rp. Obviously every HP character is a mold with a different faith and symbol. Etc.

Bottem line, there are very few "responsibilities" we require of our players. The only ones that do have responsibilities are the Immortals, whom are required to spend a certain amount of time online in order to give their followers attention.

Telling players that they are required to do something is against the premise of this game -- Too have fun. If we required players to do certain activities, then this game would be work.

High Priests are awarded their position because they epitomize and embody the ideals of their god / goddess. If they are caught behaving in a certain manner, they could fall from grace (or their High Priest/ess-hood be rebuked).
