Nobility

Post by Argentia » Fri Jun 03, 2005 10:45 pm

I have heard that playing a noble character requires an application, which makes perfect sense, but I could not find any help files on it.

But really my question pertains to a sort of lesser nobility. IE impoverished nobles who no longer hold a place in courts or political/social scenes. These would be perhaps the families that refused to give into corruption and because of that, were run into the ground financially by their rivals, and their noble names have long since been forgotten. They no longer enjoy the high class and benefits of being noble.

Would such noblility still require an app?

What matters the most is how well you walk through the fire.

Same here. It has always been my character's background but I've never actually mentioned it to anyone. I'm wondering if I should have applied for this.

I would say, most likely you would need an app if you wanted to cont. rping that you are noble. Just to say icly that in your past you were noble, I do not believe require an application. Unless you have in-mind a certin family that maybe is coded as mobs, then yes.
It is better to send an application -just- to be certinly positive when you yourself do not know for sure. :) Hope someone else can help more.

Are merchant "princes" considered nobles to be applied for? Your family could be as rich as Khelben, but have no actuall title. I have a char who belonged to one of these merchant prince families in her past. I didn't think it was a big deal because the family itself no longer exists save for her and even she doesn't know about it. Everything the family had was taken by others, should it still have been applied for?
