Spy

SYNTAX Spy <direction>
This allows the character to look into a nearby room and observe everything as if he was in the room himself. (There could be a slight movement drain during Spying). Failure at any time means the character stumbles into the room. Hiding characters can spy, one can also spy through closed entrances (probably most useful aspect of the skill) where the character is assumed to be looking through keyholes, crevices, etc.
Chars: Aryvael et all.

I beleive there is already a skill like this in the game. I cannot remember if it is this one or another mud I used to play.

Must be elseMU*....

I'm pretty sure this ability is not available here... or my thief is missing out.

Allright, my apologies then. I did however like that skill on the other mud.

There is the spell Clairvoyance...but I could never figure out how to work it. It used to give an effect on the 'affected' list, but now it just fails every time cast (at least on my wiz)

Syntax: cast clairvoyance

This spell will allow the character to look in to nearby rooms.
After casting the spell, the character needs only to "look" in the
desired direction.

Rogues have an innate ability which simulates clairvoyance.

I don't have a rogue, so Mask or some other thief will have to clarify.

Clairvoyance at the moment does not work and has not for quite some time.
