There are various priest's guilds in the game that allow for the training of polearms. However, when you mount a creature, it turns to mounted polearms (this is what is supposed to happen). It would seem to me that priests that specialize in polearms would be able to use them on horseback as well. Any thoughts or comments upon the matter?
Thanks

Well, I think Andreas knows more about it, but I believe wielding a polearm while mounted is a different story than on foot. One huge difference is that when mounted you can and usually do wield a polearm with one hand, but when on foot you must use two hands. A prime example of this would be the foot soldier wielding his spear in both hands, as opposed to the cavalier knight who holds a shield in one hand and charges through packs of soldiers, stabbing the spear with the other.
Well, overall I think mounted polearms is something that requires more strength, and so is more of a warrior skill than a priest skill(As warriors require high str but priest's prime attribute is wisdom) but I certainly wouldn't be against the appropriat priests gaining mounted polearms as well.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and go well with ketchup.
