I am just looking for a little clarification on this rule as it relates to this other rule:Lathander wrote: * Casting spells during rp leading to a possible PK situation may be taken as aggressive action. A spell-casting PC cannot expect a possible opponent to rest idle while spells are cast.
My question is, are spells that can be construed as aggressive, but do not cause any damage or start a melee fight (i.e. blazebane, weaken, dispel magic, fatigue, etc.) under the smote requirements for a pkill?* There is no set time required before combat can begin, but there must be adequate roleplay.
* PCs may not walk into a room and immediately attack other PCs.
* Generally the amount of time spent on smotes can be flexibile if the roleplay is adequate.
* Both sides must smote actions that further the roleplay.
* No player should be blindsided with a pkill.
Can you cast these indirectly aggressive spells without any smoting or roleplay?
Thanks
