Speak without Sound

Ghostwise halflings possess the ability to speak telepathically with any creature that is within 20 feet and shares a common language. They can both speak and listen as though they were having a conversation, but only with one creature at a time. Has this ability been implemented in Forgotten Kingoms? I could see myself playing one if they got that ability. :D

In the game... everyone has the ability to do this... you can "tell" anyone anything while you are in the same room as them w/o the use of the amulet of communication

Whoa, I never tried to do it without the amulet. Didn't know about that. Seems like the ghostwise halflings kinda get cheated in that sense, then. I thought that ability was so cool. :(

Don't quote me on this, but I think that's meant to not be as much a "mental" thing as a "whisper" which people can use without any special magical items or things like that. IC, perhaps people who would be good at listen checks (rogues or people with detection spells mostly) could hear a part of the whisper if the two whisperers were in the same room, whereas the ghostwise halfling communication would be truly "mental" and therefore harder/impossible to eavesdrop on. However, coding a whisper-like function into tell with such an option for ghostwise halflings might not be a top priority.

:o You punk! LOL!

I agree with you, Hviti. I've used it in that way before (while smoting that I was whispering), though I personally think that an actual whisper command might help a bit more. Then people could make listen checks to hear it. And then the Ghostwise Halflings would be, like, awesome at it.
But you're right. There's a lot of other things that require the coders attention, and they're very busy people as it is. Well, it was a thought.

Tells in Forgotten Kingdoms already have a lot of coding. (amulets, no amulets, adjectives, ungreeted tells, ooc tells, etc) :) You can RP whispering or the ghostblahhalflingblah thingie with the code already put into tells. There's no need for another command for something that works so well for multiple purposes . :D
