1000 needs to be changed to 2000, I guess...though I don't think you can actually have 2000 in your account because of the deposit fees (1999 p, 4 g, 1 e, 9 s, 9 c is the maximum, I think)help Balance wrote:Balance
Syntax: balance
This command allows you to see the balance of your bank account.
The maximum balance in a bank account is 1000 platinum.
guarentees --> guaranteeshelp Banks wrote:Banks
There are bank branches at all the major cities around the kingdoms.
There are three commands that can be used in the bank:
Syntax: deposit amount
withdraw amount
balance
While there is a cap on how much can be stored in a bank, it has
now increased. But, as a result of this, the bankers have come to an
agreement that they must charge a small fee to provide to keep your
coin safe. The fee agreed upon is 10% of your deposit. This 10% fee
guarentees the safety of your coin from theft and even after death,
they will watch after it for you. No fee is charged for withdrawals.
Also, the sentence containing guarantees has somewhat awkward diction. It might be easier to read if the word "and" were replaced by a semicolon.
Also, inserting "to 2000 platinum" after "now increased" might be helpful.
It's a tiny difference in their shades of meaning, but "But" might be replaced by "However"
Actually, I was wondering if the whole "Cap increased, bankers' fee" deal should even be discussed in the helpfile, or if it should just state the facts of the current banking system, that: a) Banking offers a means of safely storing money without risk of theft or loss upon death, b) The cap is 2000 platinum, and c) A 10% fee is charged for deposits
Is the fee still 10%?
Still quite understandable, but the last sentence is not a complete sentence. Perhaps it could read: "Barbarians tend to be at home in the wilds and often come from uncivilized lands or trace their heritage to one of the many tribes which live on the outskirts of Faerun."help Barbarians wrote:Barbarians
The barbarian is an excellent warrior. Where the fighter has training and
discipline, the barbarian has rage, hardiness, and recklessness. While in a
berserk fury a barbarian becomes stronger and tougher, better able to defeat
his foes and withstand their attacks. While equally as skilled as a fighter
with weapons, the barbarian forgoes heavy armor in favor of less restricting
armors. A barbarian is at home in wilds, coming from uncivilized lands or the
many barbaric tribes on the outskirts of civilization.
oponent = opponenthelp Blind fighting wrote:Blind fighting feat
The blind fighting feat allows you to fight in melee without seeing your foes.
There are less penalties to you when you cannot see your oponent.
There is no pre-requisite for this feat.
The last sentence might be modified to: "This feat reduced the penalties that are suffered when fighting an opponent who is hidden, invisible, or otherwise concealed."
"You will see only your name on the 'who' list" - Is that really the case? If so, why would it be, since the who list isn't something you "see" IC?help Blinded wrote:Blinded
Certain spells and attacks can render a player blind for anywhere from a
few rounds (gouge) to several hundred rounds (the blind spell). If you
are blinded, you will see only your name on the 'who' list, and will be
unable to see either your inventory or your location.
You may either wait out the effect of the blindness, request assistance
over channels, or make your way to a healer who will eventually remove
your blindness.
I think that's a comma splice. Not a matter of great importance, but I'm something of a grammar fanatic. (Watch, I'll probably make an error myself =P)Blooded Feat
With this feat you know what it means to fight for your life, and the value of
quick wits and quicker reactions when blades are bared and deadly spells are
chanted. Enemies find it hard to catch you off guard. You start combat quicker
and you have improved searching abilities.
You need to be from Silverymoon or Shadowdale to get this feat.
affects = effectshelp Bloodline of fire wrote:Bloodline of fire feat
You are descended from the efreet who ruled Calimshan for two milenia.
The blood of these fire spirits runs thick in your veins.
You have an increased resistance to fire spells and the affects stack with
the spell focus feat.
This feat requires that you be from Calimport.
This isn't an error per se, but what exactly does, "the affects stack with the spell focus feat," mean? Since it's increased resistance, the only thing I can see is a resist fire spell taken with spell focus stacking on top of the resistance, but that doesn't seem too significant.
Hm, Bloodline of fire --> Z to go =)
