This skill could recycle certain components. Like ones that require rubies/gems and the like to turn into gem powder or ruby powder rarely. While components that require earth/sun/bright stones could turn the stone into just a run of the mill smooth stone or a junk stone.

I also would like to see the possibility of creating components, that in real life would be relatively simple.

vial of blood-> empty vial + blood on the floor

Others would be sightly more complicated and require trades, for example a person with the trade armor smithing/ weapon smithing could easily create lots of iron nails.
