[Skill] Silent death

Post by Grom » Wed Mar 07, 2007 11:29 pm

This would be for thieves and rogues in general. When trying to keep from being spotted and you...silently take out someone in the way perhaps you could become learned in out to keep them from shouting or yelling as they died.

Effect - you make a save and if successful they dont make a death cry.

I think death crying mobs could bne put to use. Like in some places..it could either scare the mobile or alert them and they come running.
You ask 'What is a tri-force?'
Spaki says 'But vessels for godly energies would be hard to come by. Let alone tri-forces.'
Spaki says to you 'Just a word I heard from a fellow with a green tunic.'

This is too close to assassination and we don't allow assassins.

Im not meaning assassin. I mean just to help silence the death cry. PErsay if a party was in a palce trying to be stealthy and one gets out a cry and this cry brought others toward you. I thought if death crys could trigger other npcs and pcs to come at you then so could this prevent it when trying to infiltrate a strong hold when you cant get by certain guards or what have you. :?

Perhaps an alternative could be so that a backstab attack that instantly kills your opponent wouldnt leave them time enough to give out a death cry?
Glim asks Gwain 'Can I be on the watch?!?'
Gwain raises an eyebrow.
Gwain seems to display a look of complete horror for a second...

'Death cries' are often part of the area code which protects a place from being systematically razed.

Whilst the idea is a nice one and would have valid uses, it is also one which would allow a character to walk around a heavily fortified area and pick off mob after mob without consequences.
...never send to know for whom the bell tolls,
it tolls for thee.
