Chauntea and water

I've been searching through my 2nd ed sources(I don't have my 3rd ed with me) and some online sources, looking for references to Chauntea and her teachings regarding water. I could have sworn I had heard somewhere that clean water is part of Chauntea's portfolio. Am I wrong in thinking this? Can anyone confirm or deny it? I can't seem to be able to find anything to support it. Thanks for any help. =)

I've actually been looking over similar deities and I cannot recall seeing anything about clean water in Chauntea's portfolio. I think what you might be recalling is that of Eldath who is also a nature oriented deity that deals more with water than the other nature gods (She also has a lot to do with peace and pacifism). Even there though, I found nothing relating strictly to "clean" water, just water in general (pools, springs, waterfalls, etc.) Hope that helped some.

I looked into this more with a few of my 3rd Ed. books and all I could find is that Chauntea encourages the teaching of rerouting water from rivers and streams by means of canals and irrigation with the intent to further establish agriculture and promote fertility in less than hospitable environments. Beyond that, I found nothing corresponding to clean water in the source books, though I suppose one could infer the need for clean water as Talona is the number one enemy of Chauntea.
What I did find though was that Istishia, the elemental god of water, does promote clean water and has purification listed in his portfolio. Doesn't relate much to Chauntea though.
Hope that helps some. I'll post again if I come across anything else.

Thanks, you've both been a great help.
That pretty much answers my question, thanks so much!
