Your PC's Favorite Movie?

Post by Lathander » Fri Jun 22, 2007 4:30 am

I was thinking about this while I read some posts about PC theme music. What would be your character's favorite movie?

Lathander could have many (he is a god, you know) so I plan to edit and add as time goes by.

Lathander's Favorite Movies:
Groundhog Day - It's ALL about second chances.
From Dusk til Dawn - Undead in it too!, I say anymore I'll spoil it.
Little Miss Sunshine - Creative, inspiring
Dead Poets Society - Seize the Morning!
Raiders of the Lost Ark - Always a new adventure
Patton - I love the smell of napalm in the morning, that's Patton right?
The Bridge on the River Kwai - Try not to whistle the song, go ahead
Ivanhoe - Nothing to do with Lathander, but who doesn't love Ivanhoe?
It's a Wonderful Life - It's ALL about second chances.
Lathander,
Commander of Creativity

Commando! (pretty much any Ahnald movie)

"You steal my car, you rip the seat out, you kidnap me, you ask me to help you find your daughter which I very kindly do, and then you get me involved in a shoot out where people are dying and there's blood spurting all over the place, and then I watch you rip a phone booth out of a wall, swing from the ceiling like Tarzan, and then there's a cop that's going to shoot you and I save you and they start chasing me. Are you going to tell me what's going on or what?"

"No."
Listen up! People pay good money to see this movie! When they go out to a theater they want cold sodas, hot popcorn, and no monsters in the projection booth! Do I have to come up there myself? Do you think the Gremsters can stand up to the Hulkster?

Lerytha's favourite movies

"Brokeback Mountain", "Educating Rita" and other movies dealing with either education, learning and things Oghma likes... or other movies which are probably inappropriate for someone as old as she is.

Miriel is too snobby to watch movies

Fun question, Lathander!

EDIT: Incidentally, I hereby claim "Dead Poets Society" as one of the staple films of Oghmans. Lathander will have to share it. ;)

Kailyn's is probably just like mine... Boondock Saints. Justice still has to act even where the law fails. :P

Rictinta's is probably Vanity Fair... "Revenge may be wicked, but it's perfectly natural." and "The Marquess of Steyne: They'll bully you and patronize you. But that's what you want I suppose?
Becky Sharp: I do. "

And for Aliaga... Roman Holiday... A classic romance where she can be a princess! lol

Amelie.

Or maybe that new Marie Antoinette movie with Kirsten Dunst. Ek's not a queen but she likes fancy clothes and pretty things. She doesn't take anything very seriously and she lives her life just how she wants to live it.

Argentia's would be Phantom of the Opera, though I guess not technically a movie since it was a play first. All about beauty versus ugliness, and the hidden world that lurks beneath us all.

Belose- at this time and place-"Ratatouille" for obvious reasons.. though I haven't seen it and Belose wishes he could be in THAT rat's situation.

Braeck- Fight Club! Lord Of The Rings (all 3), All Jean-Claude Van Damme movies and Steven Seagal movies, The Terminator.. well, you get the idea.. hehehe

Frankkin- Fried Green Tomatoes, Home Fries, Kentucky Fried Movie, Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes!, The Apple Dumpling Gang! The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again!!!!... and.. for obvious reasons...

RESURRECTION...for those of you who don't know, it's a movie made in 1980 with Ellen Burstyn in it and it's a powerful movie about healing. I highly recommend it. Rent it if you can find it.. or get Blockbuster Total Access or Netflix

Boruk's would likely be "Descent". Gotta love a good climbing axe to swing.

Ariala's favorite movie would have to be...

Evolution -"I think we've established that...Caa Caa, caa caa and Tookie Tookie...don't work"

And...American History X

Zatoishi <3!
You ask 'What is a tri-force?'
Spaki says 'But vessels for godly energies would be hard to come by. Let alone tri-forces.'
Spaki says to you 'Just a word I heard from a fellow with a green tunic.'

This is an AWESOME topic. :D

Jezebel's has to be Enchanted and My Fair Lady as a close second. 8)
Mira's would probably be Stranger than Fiction.
Tandria's . . . definitely the whole Harry Potter series. :D

For Keltorn, Treasure Planet and Titan A.E. are what come to mind. They're kinda similar, but I guess they make sense. Lots of adventure and plenty of navigation and exploration. Not to mention the main characters in each have attitude problems towards the beginning...
And apparently I like sci-fi. :D
