i thought of that while falling off a ledge.
i know a lot of characters who wear heavy armor would appreciate the toggle, if it's possible...i find myself using the climb skill without knowing it quite a bit

I've been watching this post with interest.
I don't know that this change is feasible, but I definitely agree it would be a very nice feature to have. When you take falling damage, it can be pretty fatal. For newbies, it can mean death. Back when I was new, my first character I really went anywhere with was a Dwarf. In Mithril Hall, there is an area where if you fell, you were screwed if you didn't have climb. The only thing you could do was keep attempting to climb until you kill yourself or starve/dehydrate to death.
There would, of course, have to be some sort of check to make sure a character isn't flying, but otherwise I don't see why this feature couldn't be added.

This was a really good idea that was from forever ago that never seemed to get any attention. The concerns voiced here are still valid today (my fighter almost killed himself because I went up after a fight).
Is there any more support or (to Mask) is this not possible to code in?
