This mineral is a "white" mineral meaning that anything produced with it would be of white color.

This mineral is of inferior quality than platinum, meaning that is cheaper, easier to mine and more fragile.

Is it its own material type? Or would it fall under metal, gem, etc?

Is a material in its own since you could create armor with it (if you really wanted to do it)
