It seems sometimes killmode spar stifles your normal amount of attacks. I don't believe this intentional, but Selveem has GMed five attacks. When in killmode Spar with Orplar, I attempted the murder command and it only granted me one attempt at an attack.

Selveem shoves forward with a shoulder to keep Orplar honest but catches Orplar with a few swings as Orplar is pressed back.

In trying to confirm this is fixed, I could not get spar vs. spar combat to work at all: after the first attack, all I got was "You do your best!" I also could not move away, I got "No way! You are still fighting!" and had to flee to break it.

Has anyone recently tried a spar? If so, what port were you on (game or test), and what did you get? Thanks!

If you do the first round of spar, it will keep you locked in pseudo-combat. You'll still be in combat, technically, but you do not engage in any attacks. Switching to combatmode spar again after this will put you back in non-combat mode

My test results on this are in Bugzilla (814). Doesn't look like it's changed any since that report. I moved this back to "Confirmed".
