As with Thay, being that they are a separate civilization and evetually will recieve a hometown. Will the Shades, being another magic bound city and peoples, be given the same statue? Or are they much too new to FR to be included in FK? Or will they just be another area like the Old school, West Gate ect?

I think the problem with the Shades is nothing like that of Thay. I have been told that the only reason Thay isn't in the game is that there arn't any cities in it so it is kind of a boring place to be, so it is being left out till it is more developed. Now this is just rumor. But what I see the problem with the Shades is that they are another race, they arn't human. So we can't just throw in the city with because we don't have the race of Shades. Now I could be wrong, this is just my opinion.

I'm just guessing here, But are they not the only remenants of the flying cities,(I forget the name) that were all downed when an Archwiz tried to become a god and broke the weave. Except for this one city that took off to some demi-plane before the disaster and now has returned.
I agree that some of its citizens are actually shades, that I did read somewhere, but others are still humans. Maybe make it a principal Shar worshiping center. Or what have you. But since they are appearing to become a permanent part of FR I was wondering if too they will eventually become part of FK. And since it is one city. Compaired to a bunch of spaced out wiz towers,at it is for Thay, it might be easier to set up. Though the mobs and eventual PC citizens are another task. And aswell as the portal to enter the city, since it is a floating one and it might not stay in one place all the time, making it appear at randome locations on the global map.

Eh, the City of Shade only has about 500 actual shades. The rest are Netherese descent human stock, and no one born in the city of Shade is ever born as a Shade.
As for Thay, each part of Thay (11 parts) is a Tharch, and ruled by a Tharchion.
Alaor - Two small islands but largest Thayan Naval base, largest city's population 20,520
Delhumide - Mostly ruins and slave farms
Eltabbar - Main City Population 123,120. Also the Capital Tharch of Thay, capital city's name is also named Eltabbar (If any Thayan area was going to be built, this would be the best place)
Gauros - A thayan Tharch that hates Rashamen with a passion
Lapendrar - Main City is Armruthar, population 41,040. Technically an indipendant city-state but pays tribute to Thay to keep from being annexed.
Priador - Has Thay's largest city, Bezantur. Population of Bezantur is 136,800.
Pyarados - Mountain Tharch, and holds a city of the same name that is open to adventurers granted they cause no trouble. Population of Pyarados city is 54,720.
Surthay - City of Surthay holds same name as the Tharch and has a population of 17,784.
Thaymount - Super big Military fortress, everything in it is kept secret.
Thazalhar - A huge graveyard due to wars with Mulhorand
Tyraturos - Holds a city with the same name and a population of 68,400.
So yeah, Thay has cities too.

The problems I can see with the City of Shade being put in is this though..
1) Shade doesn't allow just any outsider in, and is defended zealously.
2) Shadovar citizens arn't allowed to travel out of it (So it really wouldn't make a hometown)
3) Shade isn't even allied with sects of Shar that are already in the realms, and their allegiance to Shar is different than the usual nihilists and oblivion worshipping cultists. To Shade, Shar is just another tool they used to stay alive and to get the Shadow Weave.
All said and done, if any builder wants any information on Shade that the Archwizards Trilogy, Lords of Darkness, Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, and Races of Faerun has to offer then let me know and I will supply it.
