I think it would be very useful and appropriate if all Wemic started with the slice skill. As a nomadic hunting and predominatly carnivourus race the ability to eat what you have hunted and killed would seem vital !.

Would be nice, but it seems the case is closed if I am reading the link right. Second best option is fight with weapons/spells that remove limbs, such as slash weapons. Not as consistant as slice to get meat, granted, but anyone with basic cook skills can cook the limbs, hearts, wings, heads, ect removed during combat. In that fashion, anything from sewer rats to road bandits to dragons becomes a meal to the wandering meat-eater. Several of my characters have used this food gathering practice for years.
