just a quest if this were to come into the game at some point, as a sorcerer has an inborn talent for all his spells based on charisma. Would he therefore have at least some skill already in each new spell that comes available to him which would then improve with experimentation and practice?

See the Help Files on Bard spellcasting as this will tell you how we implemented charisma based 'free casting' for that class.

Again though, there are no plans to introduce new classes at the moment - there's more than enough to do in other areas of the game
