Ithrael Griefwing, Corpse Reborn
Little is known of his earliest times, save that he called home the Port O'
Skulls, and that he was a gifted necromancer. After a lifetime spent in
pursuit of ever more power, pacts with devils and demons alike finally took
their toll. No longer could he hold at bay the forces he'd bargained for.
Weakening more with each passing day, he took to the planes in pursuit of a
remedy, only to be led back to Faerun. An arduous ritual, accompanied by the
sacrifice of many powerful artifacts, led to the destruction of his withered
body. Reborn from the corpse of an elven maiden, he soon discovered he no
longer held the capability of manipulating arcane magic. Instead, he now
could touch the divine. A priest, devoted to the Lady of Loss, who may have
played a role in the success of his rebirth, he soon was named Nightseer.
