Isle of Maos
Nearly nothing is known about the strange island named Maos. Finding this
small island in the middle of the Moonsea is already difficult, but actually
reaching it is harder yet: most of the time, the island is deep in the water;
it only raises to the surface from time to time. Many sages have tried to
understand the isle movement, to know when it raises and when it sinks back
into the water, but there has been no result yet, except that some of them
think that it is somehow linked to the movement of the moon and the sun.
Rumour has it that there was once a large temple devoted to a now-dead god
on this island.
