Museum of Knowledge
A recent addition to the City of Splendors, the museum of Knowledge was
selected and built amid the ruins of a former ward of abandoned shops near
the market square. Administered by clerks of the city and clerics of Oghma,
it plays host to a variety of exhibits and venues through various seasons and
years. The Museum has a renowned permanent collection of statue work
depicting the gods and goddesses of Faerun, including well known and little
known powers. A walking exhibit of the Time of Troubles, which chronicles the
events of that period from start to finish and a number of relics, items and
edifices taken from all over the continent collected from campaigns and past
adventures.
The architecture is done in Waterdeep Formal, but the stone utilized in the
building construction has been imported from Sunset Mountains. Besides being
a world renown bastion of study and knowledge the museum also boasts on of
the best designed guard and security systems, powerful wards built in
exhibits keep them from being disturbed. Finally, the building is one of the
first to utilize the Waterdeep waterworks fully, as it hosts an impressive
array of fountains found on all levels. Currently there are no fees for
entry, as the museum stresses a learning environment available to all walks
of life.
