Syntax: restring <owner> <item> <oldstring> <newstring>
restring <owner> <item> <oldstring> options to display target options
Prerequisites: Story Council Journeyman
The 'restring' command will change certain allowed strings in the
descriptions and adjectives of game items (including colour codes).
It operates on an <item> in the inventory of the command's issuer, on behalf
of the item's <owner>. The owner will see the echoes from the command, and
be charged any glory costs associated with successful changes.
* This command should only be used in conjunction with appropriate RP, and
should be employed ICly, for example by a craftsman, mage, or other character
with appropriate powers or abilities. It is appropriate, and even suggested,
that PCs be asked for IC materials and/or coin in addition to the glory cost.
* To change colour codes in an object, use the current colour code (with
braces) as the <oldstring>, and the desired new colour code (with braces) as
the <newstring>. All instances of the old colour code in the item's
description and adjectives will be converted to the new one.
* <oldstring> must appear in one of the adjectives of <item>, as well as in a
list of allowed strings, basically the ones used in generating random quest
rewards.
* Each successful object-changing use of this command will charge <owner> 2
glory points! These are non-refundable. If an error is made in the use of
this command, RP it as an error on the part of the modifying craftsman and do
not attempt to refund the glory cost.
